Japanese enterprises highly appreciate the market potential of Vietnam's mechanical and manufacturing industry
In the past week, two major fairs of machine tools and manufacturing were held in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of many multinational enterprises. The first is the International Specialized Exhibition on Vietnamese machine tools and metalworking solutions (Metalex 2019) with more than 500 brands from 25 countries, bringing together more than 10,000 manufacturers. The next is not to mention the International Trade Fair of manufacturing industry in Ho Chi Minh City (FBC HCM 2019). This event has attracted more than 200 exhibitors and 3,000 visitors. The reason for bringing foreign enterprises, especially Japanese ones, to attend trade fairs of mechanics, manufacturing and machine tools is because they see potentials and opportunities for investment cooperation in these sectors in Vietnam market.
At Metalex exhibition 2019, Keita Seki - President of Maruhide Koki Company, a company specializing in manufacturing 3D pipe cutting machines, serving in the field of transport, oil and gas infrastructure development, currently accounts for 90 % market share in Japan said:" Vietnam is a rapidly developing country in the region. In particular, the development of transport infrastructure, or fields related to oil and gas, is also of great interest to the Government, due to its great potential.” (Excerpt Saigon Economic Times)
